Reflection

Reflection.................
Contemplation........
Just thinking things through.
I do a lot of thinking whilst in the bath. I drift off on a sea of thoughts, considering, pondering and dreaming.
It's a quiet time, a soothing interlude and there's nothing quite like it for calming the mind.
How wonderful such simple pleasures can be.
I love simplicity.

Boxes of Delights

Boxes............mmm.....I wonder what we have in here?

Can't remember, so let's take a peek.
Ah yes...........
Treasures, or at least to me they are.
Lots and lots of teensy pretties.
Lovely!
I think I will go up into the loft and look around for more forgotten trinkets.
Until next time,
Bye for now,

Meet Miss Fleur

Meet Miss Fleur the bunny. She loves to play dress-up and today wears a fetching ballet outfit in her favourite colour. Her tutu is trimmed with vintage lace and her shoes with tiny white roses.

A sparkling tiara, necklace of pale pink roses.............and gold eyeshadow, which she feels enhances her dark eyes, add an extra touch of glamour.
Her magnificent lop ears need no further adornment.
Ahhhh!!!!!!
Bunny rabbits make me think of Spring which I am now longing for. It is still very cold here but the days are slowly getting longer. I love every season but I particularly love the newness, the promise and the freshness of Springtime.
Bring it on!
From Miss Fleur and myself I bid you a fond farewell until next time.
Hugs,

New Flowers and Old Flowers

Old Flowers.............delightful.

Much as I adore old flowers, today I needed fresh, new flowers. The sun is dazzling but it is very cold and there is still frost on the ground in places. However I ventured out into the garden determined to find a few blooms to photograph.
This Primrose still wears beads of melted frost and although the petals look somewhat raggedy I think it is so pretty.
I love this colour.
A beautiful Hellebore......
and one waiting to open.
Dainty snowdrops never fail to please.
Primroses are such cheerful little flowers.
A furry Magnolia bud.
Pure sunshine on a branch. Mmm, can't see any more pretties so I think I will go back indoors now.
Here are some more lovely old flowers, the fabric faded over time.
I love the crumpled disarray of these flowers.
I hope you enjoy your weekend whether you are searching for flowers or dreams.
Bye for now,

Happy Valentines Day

Cupid let your arrows fly.

Hearts of glass - easily broken.
Hearts of wax - easily melted.
Hearts of paper - easily torn.
Hearts to wear - easily lost.
A heart of gold - a precious, lasting beauty.
Happy Valentines Day.

Who Lives Here?

Who lives in a house like this?

Mmmm - let us examine the evidence. I have my trusty magnifying glass at the ready.
Someone who likes to read......a LOT
Someone who likes to bake cakes. I deduce from the bunch of rosemary that this must be a Rosemary Loaf Cake, a Nigella Lawson recipe from her book 'How to be a Domestic Goddess', I believe.
This is a classic Victoria Sandwich.
Let us get closer to establish whether this is really a sponge cake with jam AND cream....yes, it appears to be.
Now this is a real treat - Pineapple Upside Down Cake. A very nice, old fashioned recipe.
O.K. Something tells me that this isn't the person who likes to read and bake lots of cakes. He looks like the very spoilt pet of the person in question and I don't like the way he's watching me - at all.
And he appears to be wearing her scarf - the skinny green glittery one which she really loves.
Mmmm, I know who lives in this house and I'm off to tell her about THAT dog and his superior ways.
Huh, bet I could never get away with wearing her scarf.
Oh well, it's a fox's life and I do get to lounge on the bed occasionally.
Ta ta for now all you would-be sleuths.
And bye from the person who lives in this house, likes to read a lot, bake cakes and spoil her very special doggy who doesn't mind at all being dressed in a green glittery scarf. She also has to put up with a very cheeky little fox who thinks he's Sherlock Holmes.
