English Country Garden

The hot, lazy days continue with the merest splash or two of occasional rain.  The grass is looking parched but will easily recover and the soft fruit is looking marvelous.  I was pleased to see some ladybirds eating all those pesky blackflies that seem to like the warmth a little too much.  The roses smell divine as does the lavender which has done so well this year. I love the garden and so do the furbies. The cherries are wild and the birds love them so they too are happy.
The year is flying by so quickly it seems and the days are already getting shorter.  Where, oh where does time go to?  It makes me realise that we really do need to make the most of every precious moment - there is only the 'now'.
